Join our neurodiversity-affirming team
Build meaningful connections. Follow children’s interests. Support communication in all its forms. Choose Kind Therapy is looking for pediatric speech-language pathologists who share our child-led, strengths-based approach.
Now hiring: part-time pediatric SLP independent contractors in Washington, DC and Northern Virginia, primarily during after-school hours.
The opportunity
Our mobile practice brings speech-language support into children’s everyday lives. We’re interested in connecting with clinicians who want to take on a few additional pediatric cases, with scheduling and service-area preferences discussed together.
Tell us where you would like to work in DC or Northern Virginia, when you’re available, and the caseload that fits your goals. We’ll discuss current referrals, role expectations, compensation and contract details directly before either of us makes a commitment.
What matters to us
Child-led, naturalistic care built around strengths, interests and everyday communication.
Respect for autonomy, consent, sensory needs and different communication methods.
Support for self-advocacy and authentic expression, without pressure to mask or conform.
Warm caregiver collaboration and an LGBTQ+-inclusive, identity-affirming approach.
Bring your interests and experience
We welcome pediatric SLPs across specialties. We’re especially interested in experience or training in gestalt language processing (GLP), AAC, and pediatric feeding. Share the areas you love working in and the areas you’d like to develop.
Please include your credentials and current licensure or clinical fellowship status so we can discuss the requirements and fit for the specific opportunity.
